Billboard advertising Berlin
Billboard advertising is the oldest form of outdoor advertising. In 1855 the Berliner Ernst Litfass already had glued his first leaflets to columns laid the foundation for billboard advertising. There is a remarkable number of forms of billboard advertising, from which we only want to mention the most important ones.
There are about 51.000 Litfass-columns in Germany, which are also referred to as common sites. Many different poster-formats are glued to these columns – from DIN A1 (59.4 x 84.1 cm) to the 4/1 (84.1 x 237.6 cm) format. The columns are offered in certain networks. It is not possible to cover one singe column.
Whole columns, there can be only one
Whole columns, other than Litfass-columns, are covered by one advertiser only. About 17.000 media can be booked throughout Germany, in networks or as single columns. Selected sites in the centre or highly-frequented locations can therefore easily be covered. At especially attractive sites, the columns are backlit during the night, such that the advertisement can do it's job 24 hours/day.
The large-scale
The large-scale offers a lot of room for creative advertising. Selecting from about 190.000 large-sclaes, national, regional and local media wishes can be easily fulfilled. Many large-scales are illuminated during the night.
City Light Posters (CLP) and Mega Lights are illuminated
City Light Posters (CLP) are backlit billboards in the format 119 x 175 cm (4/1) and are often found where the customer stays for a while: in waiting halls, on bus- and train stations, close to information desks and in pedestrian areas. Additional CLPs are located on street islands and intersections, to be seen by drivers. City Light Posters are especially brilliant in the evening and at night.
The Mega Lights are pretty popular illuminated large-scales. The large, backlit showcase is positioned 2.50 metres high, to prevent line-of-sight obstruction. Megalights are located on arterial and radial roads and at highly frequented sites.
The public transport (metro station, buses and trams) plays an important role in all metropolitan areas, because it gives the advertisement the opportunity of a high reach in a very short time. You can choose between many different forms of billboard advertising: City Light Poster, large-scales, posters in DIN A0 (84.1 x 118.1 cm) and DIN A00 (118.6 x 166.0 cm), standard surfaces and special surfaces.
