The design of a whole bus

Although the surface of a bus offers enough range for creativity to make the message popular, not every part can be covered by advertisements.

The whole front part of the bus cannot be covered because the transportation companies want to ensure, that the passengers recognise the oncoming bus straight away. Likewise, the two window sides next to the driver are excluded for driving safety reasons.

Consider design requirements

Every bus has certain indications that cannot be covered, the bus number for example, the route display, the door openers and the indications for bicycles and baby carriages. When the bus is covered with advertisement, these indications are left out. That means, that the adhesive film is cut out. It is important to consider this in the blueprint to avoid that significant declarations or important parts of the design are lost.

Every transportation company has different types of buses. One has the ventilation slots on the top, one at the bottom. Modern bus types have bigger windows than the older types.

We recommend: Modify the basic layout a little bit as to adjust it to the actual bus type to clear the path for a successful motif.

Whole bus coverage: Costs and data

Partial bus coverage: uncomplicated and cost-efficient

The most important messages like the product's name, slogan, and key visuals can all be effectively designed for every side surface. The formats of adhesive film are uncomplicated to handle and therefore relatively cost-efficient. The vertically oriented rear portion of the bus can display more emotional content. If the planning is done cleverly, both surfaces can be updated quickly and cost-efficiently.

Bus rear surfaces: exceptionally cost-efficient

The standardised rear end surfaces with their low production and appliance costs offer a strong alternative for local advertisers. This offer only includes the advertising space beneath the rear window.
