The ITB Berlin was a complete success
The international tourism fair again was a huge success for the exhibitors. More than 90% of exhibitors are very happy with their aquired business contacts. And more than 80% expect a succesful future business venture.
Botswana is investing in outdoor advertising to boost tourism demand. With their airport advertising in Berlin the African county addressed the business fair visitors and invited them to a meeting at their stand.
They utilised typical pictures of the county for popular travel destinations to create a desire for a vacation in Botswana.
Pure nature: In Botswana there are more elephants than people. Also lions, giraffes, wildebeests and so on. The campaign on busses brought you close to the Safari. With the airport line Botswana consciously decided to include the Berlin airport, main station, Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden and Alexanderplatz. All the defining spots in Berlin.
