Buses and trains
Yearly all buses and trains cover more than 250 million kilometers in Berlin and carry 906 million people every year. Difficult to imagine, but this is the equivalent to a daily journey to the moon.
The Berlin bus lines span all districts and streets with about 6.000 bus stops like a spiderweb. Berlin is known for its double-decker that is gladly used by tourists to view the city conveniently from above.
In a city of permanent Rush Hour the trains belong to the fastest forms of transport. More than 1.5 million people use the underground and S-Bahn trains every day. That is more people than some cities have inhabitants.
